IntroductionThe Print2NG is a virtual printer driver that converts print data into a PDF file and forwards it to a NextGen pad. You can initiate the print process from any application that supports printing, and then sign the generated PDF file on the pad. You have the option to select a specific NextGen pad to which the printed document should be sent, or you can display a device selection dialog showing all available "NextGen" pads. During thi signing process, the printer tool mirrows the view of the NextGen pad, allowing the person at the PC to see what the signer is doing in real time. To assist the signer, the mirrored buttons on the pad can also be activated from the PC. the completedcomplete, the document can be saved | via using the download button on the pad or in the mirrored display. Installation ProcessDouble-click on the setup file to begin the installation process and click “Next” to continue.
Read through the license agreement, if you agree the terms, click on the checkbox “i accept the agreement” and click “Next”.
Select the installation folder and click “Next”. By default, the directory is set to “C:\Program Files\StepOver\Print2NG”.
After selecting the desired directory and clicking “Next,” the files will be copied to the chosen directory.
Complete the installation by clicking “Finish.” Optionally, you can choose to start the Print2NG tool immediately by checking the box.
User InterfaceStarting the Print2NG tool, the following interface will be displayed:
If a signing device has been added, the name or and the IP address of the signature pad is displayed at the top left on the interface. Three buttons are available in this view: Search device: You can use this button to search for connected or available NextGen in the network and select the desired one. Settings: Here you can adjust the application settings. Help: This button provides access to help resources.
In the centre of the screen is a field with a cloud icon. Here you can drag and drop a PDF or XML file to sign.

Device ConfigurationShow Device Dialog: Opens a window displaying all available signature devices and their respective descriptions. IP Address: Allows manual input of the device's hostname or IP address. Use HTTPS: Enables the use of HTTPS for secure connections. Device Password: Allows entry of the password if a password is required for the signature pad.
File HandlingOpen files from following directory: Defines the default directory for opening documents. Save last used directory: Remembers the last directory used for opening files. Save files into following directory: Defines the default directory for saving documents. Save last used directory: Remembers the last directory used for saving files. Do Not Show Save Selection: Saves the file with a standard name without showing a selection dialog. Attach date and time to the saved document: When the signed document is saved, the date and time are attached to the file name.
Application SettingsStartup Behavior: Sets whether the application starts maximized or minimized. Auto Minimize After Signing: Minimises the application automatically after signing a document. Auto Close After Signing: Closes the application automatically after signing a document.
Log FileLog file output Path: Displays the path to the log file. Browse directory: Allows browsing the log directory. View logs: Displays the existing log files. Delete logs: Deletes the log files.

Basic UseFirst steps based on an example:Open the Document: Open a Word document that you want to convert to a PDF and sign. Print as PDF: Click on “File” and select “Print”. Select Printer: Choose “PrintToNextGen as the printer and click “Print”.
Document in Print2NGTool: The Print2NG tool will open, displaying your document as a PDF on the screen and on the NextGen pad, ready for signing.
Sign the Document: Sign the document on your NextGen pad. Afterward, you can save the signed PDF document.

To create a shortcut, enter the name of the tool in the search bar of the start menu. When the PrintToNextGen tool appears in the list of search results, right-click on it. Select the "Open file path" option in the context menu. This will open the file explorer and display the executable file of the Print2NG tool.
