Device Webpage
The Signature Pad has a Webinterface where you can upload documents or change the settings from the device. The device address is shown on the signature device screen after startup. If your device is already configured with promoscreens or a promovideo you will see this screen only in the first 30sec after device start. If you missed the screen, just unplug the USB cable and reconnect it again.
Open the address which you see on the device with your browser to open the device webinterface.

Upload - Page
If you want to upload document to the device you need to click on the Pen icon in the left sidebar. Next you can drag and trop your PDF documents on the page (or you click on the cloud icon and you get a file open dialog).
The area inside the dotted rectangle is further referred to as the "drop zone".
Attention! By default you can upload 3 different document typs, which are PDF, XML and FUF files. On the Setting page this option can be limited even more. |
Signature Process
After you uploaded a PDF or a XML on the device you will see the document on the device screen. While the document viewing is active, you can scroll with the pen through the document. On the web interface you see in the meantime a page with all active device buttons.
You can either click the button on the device screen or on the web site. With the PEN Icon you can start the signing mode. When you loaded a PDF document, you will actived the freehand signing mode, this means you can draw anywhere on the device. The device and the website will change the Icons, so you can accept, repeat or cancel the signature process. After click on acceptor cancel the pad swtiches back to the documentViewing and if you want to can add more signature.
If you finished with all signatures, you can finish the process by clicking on the Download button. This will trigger your browser to download the signed document.
After the download the device will switch to Standby Mode.
When you using the XML, you can automatize the placement of the signature fields. This means that after clicking on the PEN Icon, the device will jump to the defined signature fields automatically where you can add the signature. After the last signature, the browser download will be triggered and the XML with the signed PDF inside will be returned. More information about the XML format can be find here.
Gallery Option - Page
The Gallery page can be reached by the picture icon inside the blue site bar.
The three radio buttons “show manual”, “Show pictures”, “Show video” allow you to select what to display on the signature device screen when the device is in standby mode.

Show manual | This is the default option of each signature device and it means that you will see the info screen with the IP and Hostname while the device is in standby mode. |
Show pictures | You can upload up to 4 pictures to the device which will be shown while standby. The ideal resolution is 1024x600 pixels and the images will be shown in a endless loop. If you want to upload a image you have to click on the cloud icon or you need to drag and drop your image into the area. You can also set a timer how long each image should be displayed. You need to confirm each image with the green disk icon. If you wan to delete a image you need to click on the red thrash icon. |
Show video | You can also upload 1 video to the device for the standby mode. The video needs to have specific settings, therefor please use our video-converter tool. |
Setting - Page
The setting page can be access with the “Gear wheel” icon from the blue site bar.
You can change the following setting on this page
Setting passwords to access the device pages. With the “START PAGE PASSWORD” you can limit the access to the signature functionally. If you set this password you will be forced to enter the password every time you open the webinterface of the device (or when you using the API Interface). With the “GALLERY PASSWORD” and “SETTING PASSWORD” you can prevent the user access to this pages.
Network setting, which include the device name and the option get the IP address by DHCP or you can set the IP manually.
Certificate Settings, here you can change the HTTPS Certificate on the device. This is for example required when you changed the device name and you still want to used HTTPS without any warning. The reason is that the device name is also the hostname for which the factory certificate was created. You can find more details here.
Filetype restriction, allows you to limit the upload to specific file typs, for example to prevent the upload of new Firmware Update files by users.
