8. How to find out the version number of my pad's firmware?

You can easily read the version number of your pad’s firmware with our StepOver Device Check (SODC.exe) tool.

The needed application is integrated in each and every eSignatureOffice installation and here’s how it works:

 

  • Start the SODC.exe from your “driver” subfolder of your StepOver software.

By default this path is for example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\StepOver\eSignatureOffice 7.0\driver\sodc.exe"

  • After the start, select your pad:

  • All connected signature pads will be shown in a list. Select the device of your choice and confirm with “OK”.

  • Now you will be back in the previous menu and can read the version number of the signature pad’s installed firmware number.
