DeviceAPI
Introduction
The DeviceAPI library is to be used with signature devices.
These signature devices may have different features but all of them have a display that allows to capture a manually drawn signature.
Usually, the captured signature is linked with a document and expresses the consent of the signer with the content of the document.
The signature process executed with this library leverages cryptography, that is, encryption, hashing and digital signatures,
to guard the biometric properties of the drawn signature,
to increase the authenticity of the linked signature and
to prevent malevolent fabrication of signed documents and forgery of signatures.
These operations may be carried out by signature devices whose hardware supports cryptographic operations.
This library facilitates that and users with such cryptographic signature devices are encouraged to use their cryptographic capabilities for increased security.
