8. Supported Documents

The following document types are supported by the SignaturAPI4:

• PDF documents (version 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) 

Any patented or licenced derivatives thereof are not supported! As the PDF formats are an open standard and because of the varying interpretation of the formats, which are required by various softwares to create or process PDFs, we cannot guarantee the compatibility with all kinds of PDF documents. Any encrypted PDF documents can not be signed.
